P&O Cruises Australia now part of Carnival Cruise Line

P&O CRUISES AUSTRALIA NOW PART OF CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE

P&O Cruises Australia (POA) will become part of our sister company Carnival Cruise Line, in March 2025,  we are confirming what this means for you if you have already made a booking.

Bookings on Pacific Explorer cruises departing prior to 2 March 2025 are unimpacted by this announcement, along with bookings on Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter cruises departing prior to 14 March 2025, which are also not impacted.

Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter will be taken out of service for two weeks in March to undergo some technology and systems upgrades. If you have any bookings on cruises that were due to sail during this period, we have sent you a separate email with details of this change including a list of your impacted bookings.

Bookings on Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter cruises departing after 25th March 2025 are also unimpacted by this announcement, except that the ships will be renamed, marketed and operated as Carnival.

Post-integration, the Carnival Cruise Line year-round fleet in Australia will include Carnival Splendor, Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter, as well as Carnival Luminosa which will sail from Brisbane seasonally.  All the ships will feature Carnival’s popular HubApp onboard technology to enhance the cruise experience, and POA guests will be invited to participate in the Carnival loyalty program, among other benefits.

Please note that all bookings will still be able to be viewed and managed in POLAR Online.

Carnival Cruise Line is committed to carrying on the legacy of outstanding service and memorable holidays that our guests have loved for more than 90 years, and this integration plan provides many career opportunities for our great onboard team, which will soon be sailing for the world’s largest cruise line. Carnival Corporation will remain the largest cruise operator in the South Pacific, with 17 ships across seven brands calling on 78 destinations in the region.
