JETSTAR RELEASES 30,000 FARES TO JAPAN AS ITS POPULARITY SKYROCKETS

Jetstar has released 30,000 (some discounted) fares direct to Japan as the island’s popularity continues to rise.

For the next five days, Jetstar is selling fares to Japan starting from less than $300. Sale fares are available until 4 June 2024.

Jetstar notes: “With Japan becoming more affordable for Australians in recent years, the country is now an attractive new option for budget-conscious Australians”. Jetstar reported a 35% inrease in passengers travelling to Japan in 2023 compared to 2019. The budget airline anticipates that this will only increase with additional fares available.

For the first time in more than 10 years, the Japanese yen has recorded historic lows against most currencies, with one Australian dollar currently buying 104.19 JPY.This is also contributing to the island nation’s popularity.

Fares included include travel dates between June to mid-September 2024, and late January to early April 2025, however the exact dates will vary depending on your chosen destination.

The departure flights depart direct from Cairns, Brisbane and Sydney, however travellers from other states can still take advantage of the deal via a connecting sale fare from Melbourne (Tullamarine), Adelaide and the Gold Coast.
