SYDNEY HOUSE HERITAGE REVIVAL SET TO SHAKE UP SYDNEY OFFERING IN 2027
A 136-room luxury hotel is set to become a key addition to Sydney’s accommodation scene when the AU$800 million Sydney House development is completed in 2027.
The hotel will be part of the redevelopment of the iconic City Tattersalls Club building, a 130-year-old, state heritage-listed landmark located at 196-204 Pitt Street in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.
The 50-storey Sydney House project will restore the historic site, transforming it into a striking new landmark tower. Richards Crookes Construction, well-known for its expertise in heritage projects—including the recent redevelopment of Harry Seidler’s Sirius Building into luxury apartments—began construction in early 2023.
In addition to the hotel, the development will also feature 241 luxury apartments, both promise to make the most significant impact on Sydney’s hospitality offering when it opens in 2027.
